Aspen Farms Working Student Program
The Working Student Position:
Being a working student is a valuable
learning experience not only for improving your
riding skills, but also in what it takes on a
daily basis to be competitive at the higher
levels. You will learn about fitness programs,
proper turn out and care of the horses for
everyday riding as well as for shows, as well as
having the opportunity to ride and learn from
upper level horses. You and your horse will
improve dramatically from 4-5 lessons a week and
being in a goal orientated program.

Working
Student Jobs:
As a working student, you will be expected to
do stalls, feed, blanketing and turn out, tack
cleaning and grooming on a daily basis. Most
days there will be trot or hack sets to be done
on our horses as well as tacking them up and
cooling them down. At shows you would be
given ample time to get yourself ready to
compete, but also be expected to groom and take
care of our horses. You will also be expected to
be as neat, tidy, and organized as possible.
